You talk me through where things stand and what you have already tried. I ask questions until the real constraint is on the table, because it is usually not the thing you came in worried about.
By the end of the call you have a plain view of what to work on first and the order the rest of it should follow.
There is no proposal to wait for and nothing to sign on the call itself.
If working together is the obvious next step, I tell you what that costs on the call, in plain numbers, before you decide anything. If it is not, I will say so and you will still leave with the answer you came for.
