Overcoming Self-Doubt with Life Coaching

Lack of confidence, self-doubt, fear, and worry are feelings that no one wants to experience. Unfortunately, so many people have these limiting beliefs about themselves all day long.

So, how do you overcome self-doubt and build confidence with life coaching?

What is a Paradigm?

We all have paradigms. Paradigms are in our subconscious mind, and they have been built through repetition from the moment we were born. The environment in which we were as a baby, children, and teenagers, and the influences we have had over those years have created who we are today. It is nobody’s fault, it has been from the repetition of words spoken to us by our parents, grandparents, and friends.

Simple things like:-

  • Be careful, you don’t want to fall.
  • Oh my, you are not wearing that outside the house.
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees.
  • That’s not good enough.
  • You’re stupid.
  • That outfit makes you look fat.
  • Go away and do that again.

All these negative types of statements create our self-doubts, and self-image, and contribute to our lack of confidence.

There are 2 ways to change paradigms and they are emotional impact and repetition. Emotional impact doesn’t happen all the time but you can use repetition every day to remove self-doubt and boost your self-confidence.

Grab a piece of paper and a pen and find a nice quiet place to sit down. Write out on the left-hand side all the things you feel are negative about yourself. On the right-hand side of the paper use the Law of Polarity (opposites) and write out the opposite of what you have written.

For example, I don’t like the shape of my nose. On the other side of the paper write out I have a perfectly shaped nose.

See the difference?

When you write out the opposite of what you think and keep writing it out day and night for 30, 60, 90, or 120 days you start to influence your subconscious mind, and your start to believe what you are writing. When you believe you change your paradigm.

There are many ways you can change your self-doubt and this is just one way but an effective, and easy way that you can start today.
