Why Some People Keep Earning More While Others Stay Stuck

The biggest difference is often found in what people believe is possible for themselves.

We all have an internal thermostat when it comes to money. This thermostat is formed through years of experiences, observations, and repeated thoughts. It influences what we believe we deserve, what we are willing to ask for, and what we feel comfortable receiving.

If your internal thermostat is set to a certain income level, you may find yourself unconsciously returning to that level, even after periods of growth or success. You might hesitate to increase your prices, avoid opportunities that could expand your income, or talk yourself out of taking the next step.

The challenge isn’t usually a lack of ability. It’s often a matter of self-image.

Your self-image acts like a blueprint for your life. It influences your decisions, actions, and expectations. If you see yourself as someone who struggles financially, your behaviour will often align with that belief. If you see yourself as someone who creates value, solves problems, and deserves to be well compensated, your actions begin to change.

This is why personal growth is so important when it comes to financial growth.

Before your income can consistently increase, you often need to expand the way you see yourself. You need to become comfortable with greater levels of success, responsibility, and abundance.

The good news is that your self-image is not fixed. It can be strengthened, upgraded, and transformed.
